While many of you "enjoy" the snow...
It's more rain for us here in southern California.
I should be getting ready to leave for a book club meeting (that doesn't sound as lame as I think it does... does it?), but when the camera stood up and did a little song and dance routine to get my attention, I had to listen. So, off we went to stand in the rain for a while. And if I catch pneumonia, he's totally in trouble.
(Yes, I just referred to my camera as a person. And, apparently, it's a boy. Who knew?)
This morning, as I opened my e-mail, I held my breath for a moment. I was slightly nervous to read the comments I may have received on that last post. I don't know why. You people are so lovely and encouraging and, if The Husband would allow it, I'd totally invite you all over for a slumber party.
I hope you all have an incredible weekend. Will you be watching the Super Bowl? It's the biggest holiday of the year for my husband so, yes, we will very much be watching. And, I hate to say this next part because I know how so many people feel about the Saints, but... they took out the Vikings so they must be defeated. I'll be cheering for my friend Peyton.
(Oh, yeah. We're totally BFFs. He just doesn't know it yet.)

Oh My God....my camera sings and dances too....although mine is a she!! My daughters have threatened to commit me. :)
ReplyDeleteIs your camera's name Edward, by any chance? Whatever his name is, you and he make a great couple! I love what you create with each other!I'm also routing against the Saints. I wanted the Vikings to be in the Super Bowl, too, because I like Brett Favre. He's kinda old, like me, but I'm older. Oh, well.
ReplyDeleteWhen my camera dances or my printer talks to me with it's big paper tray lips saying, ror, print something, anything, I just close my eyes and lean back for a bit and pretty soon they settle down.
ReplyDeletegood thing your camera lured you outdoors b/c that is a truly lovely image. No football for me, thanks. I don't really know if we will have the game on or not. Sounds a little unAmerican, sorry.
ReplyDeleteGlad I discovered Chocolate and Whine (thru Dutch Donut Girl's blog). I'm a fellow chocoholic, pro-parentheses, pro-prozac, and anti-football. Hope your team wins, though.Cheers,Robyn
ReplyDeleteWHO DAT?! GEAUX SAINTS!I hope the Saints win because Big Daddy is from New Orleans, because my mother dressed me in an Archie Manning t-shirt when I was 5, and because the 'Aints never give up. Never. Give. Up.We are going to a Super Bowl party. I bought Saints NFL beads, t-shirts for me and the peeps and drink cups. I will probably be the only woman at this party actually watching the game. (Have you seen The Blind Side? Everyone tells me I'm just like the character Sandra Bullock plays...love me some football). My sister is Colts loyal. She's in love with Peyton. There's just something about those Manning men.I love your pictures. You probably already told us this, but what kind of camera do you have?
ReplyDeleteYour photo (which is simply gorgeous, btw) instantly put me in the middle of a summer thunderstorm. Hot, steamy, and not. snow. And so? I totally love you right now.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think this was possible, but with that Peyton comment? Yeah, you are dead to me. The Colts are an Evil Empire and they must be defeated.Don't mess with me. I'm post-partum and heavily drugged.(It's possible that one of those above comments is a joke. You can pick which one.)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! You have leaves! (And green ones at that!) We lost all of our leaves three months ago, and I'm totally going into green-withdrawal. Spring CANNOT GET HERE FAST ENOUGH!)As for the football game, I guess I'll cheer for Peyton since we're fellow alumni and practically almost know each other (like, I've totally been places he has, just not at the same time), but I'm really rooting for some good commercials.
ReplyDeletei love your blog and who you are, prozac and all...don't stress :)sorry about peyton yesterday...and finally, a new book for you to check out. i just started it but i love it so far. it's called In the Sanctuary of Outcasts (http://www.amazon.com/Sanctuary-Outcasts-Memoir-Neil-White/dp/0061351601). Check it out!
ReplyDeleteOH NO! no no no! there is no way that you can be a Tom Brady fan and a Manning fan. no no no. I am wagging my finger in a "nu-uh girlfriend" manner at you. -L
ReplyDeleteOnly you and your camera boyfriend could make me crave rain. I can smell the rain. Once again, you drop my jaw. P.S. I don't watch football. I know my husband regrets marrying me for that reason alone. But I do make great guacamole. So that' good, right?
