21/52: Zion

Zion

Got to hike Zion a couple of days ago. Hiking. It's my new thing. Also, boring photos. Although, that's not so new.

20/52: Pics of pics

Pic of Pics

That's right. A picture of pictures. Because it wasn't for lack of trying that I failed to get a decent photo this week. It was for lack of sunlight. (And maybe a little bit of procrastination.) I went to the wedge at sunset, but guess what? There's not much of a sunset when there's no sun. Also, taking pictures becomes increasingly difficult when it gets dark. And even more so when you forget a tripod. Basically, everything that could go wrong, did. And the pictures that looked so sharp on that teeny tiny screen on my camera turned out to be blurry and grainy upon closer inspection. And I hate blurry, grainy photos. I also hate cell phone photos, but not quite as much, obvi. Anyway, there's another 32 weeks of this. Things are bound to improve. Right?

19/52: fK&C

For King & Country 20150508 3_edited

I went to see for KING & COUNTRY, a Christian pop music duo, on Wednesday. For a 2nd time. Cuz ever since I saw them perform at church a couple years ago, I've been into them in a big way. I've been told they sound like Coldplay, but I can't really attest to that; the only thing I know about Coldplay is that Chris Martin is freakin' cute. But so are Joel and Luke, the two brothers that make up for KING & COUNTRY. And they're from Australia and have that accent and that accent makes everything better. Not that they need it. Their music is great, so it's really just an added bonus.

18/52: Orchids

DSC_0063 e

1. I think orchids are one of the prettiest weirdest looking flowers.

2. Orchids are my mommy's fave. (Yes, I still call her "mommy.")

3. I always take backlit photos of flowers. I like them all bright and glowy.

4. "Glowy" is totally a word.

5. This is the glowiest of all the orchid photos. It might be too much.
