Someday, when she calms down in one or two or eight years (
I hope), I'll be able to get a full body shot. For now, this squirmy little pup is fairly vibrating with energy and it makes for a lot of
really blurry photos.
By the way, you know how cats are incredibly graceful and always (for the most part) land on their feet? Well, puppies? Not
quite as coordinated. They land on their face. Friday and I learned this the hard way.
Awwwww, what a cutie. I want a puppy too! Can I have her? Have a nice weekend...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot and an adorable pup!
ReplyDeleteShe's gorgeous! And I love her name. Black lab? Himself has a black lab (who I will meet in less than 2 weeks!!!) so I have a soft spot for them even though they are big dogs.I'm gonna predict that she will calm down in about 2 years. My cocker spaniel was 3 when she finally "matured" but labs are naturally calmer than cockers. What a sweet face - you must be madly in love!
ReplyDeleteOh isn't that the cutest face!!
ReplyDeleteShe is too cute. Puppies don't land on their feet, but they do bounce back up after a less than graceful fall. One thing dogs do that cats don't do ~ you can leave the house for 30 seconds and when you come back in, they are so excited and act like they haven't seen you in forever. I always loved having that kind of greeting every time I came in the door.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pup!
ReplyDelete5 yrs. That's when labs calm down. It's a relative calm though. Good enough to take full body photos. As long as their are no moving food or fetch-able items. Great dogs, they do tend to live life to the fullest!
ReplyDeleteMan oh man.Reminds me of when Cutter and Tug were pups. Spastic and wiggly as all git out but so cute you just wanted to squeeze 'em 'til they popped and don't even get me started on little puppy smell. Now that they're five, are they calm? Not so much. But they still have their dangly parts so I imagine that doesn't help.Love the name, what's the story behind it?
ReplyDeleteI have no idea about the name. My kid sister picked it out. (By the way... "dangly parts" haha.)
ReplyDeleteI am. I just want to hug her and squeeze her and talk to her in incredibly obnoxious baby-talk. ;)
ReplyDeleteHa, I'll ask my mom. (Who happens to consider this pup her 6th and favorite child.)
ReplyDeleteI've already noticed that with Friday. It's so cute. Makes you feel so loved and important.
ReplyDeleteToo cute! It makes me want a dog and I'm scared of them!!
ReplyDeleteOh. My. Goodness. She is pure sunshine and sweetness all packaged in a soft, furry little body. My heart is melting!!! Congrats on the new "sibling" lol. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is the cutest puppy in the whole world! I could stare at that picture forever!
ReplyDeleteOh man - the cuteness!!!! My 10 year old border collie started loudly sighing at 5:30 this morning for us to get up and go for a walk. I adore her but have been thinking this will be my last dog. And then I see this cuteness......
ReplyDeleteGee, mom. That's shocking. :P
ReplyDeleteThat's how I am with cats. Mine can be such a pain in the rear... then they start snuggling up next to me, or I see a kitten, and I think MORE. But, then again, cats don't require walks at 5 in the morning. That would be painful.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! She is so cute! Puppy breath! I love puppy breath, except that when we got Timmy he didn't have good puppy breath. Maybe he was too old already, we got him when he was three months old. How old is Friday?
ReplyDeleteMy good friend had a dog named Friday. I like that. I also like your site and will be back. I got myself hooked on J.R. Ward too.
ReplyDeleteDark Lover was a book club selection. I don't think I would have ever picked it up on my own. Then I fell in love and the rest is history. ;)
ReplyDeleteWHERE have I been? You got a DOG?I'm so excited. I mean, cats are nice and all, but dogs... Dogs are the best cure for a hole in your heart. The very, very best.
ReplyDeleteTechnically she belongs to my mother, but I'm going to steal her. Just as soon as I move out...
ReplyDeleteShe's four months now and I'm not sure I'd say I "love" her puppy breath... but it's not totally offensive. I'll let her get as close as my chin so she can kiss the heck outta me. She's a big smoocher.
ReplyDeleteLate to the party as usual (that whole life thing getting in the way of my blog reading!)AWWWWW! That's the cutest damned puppy! Great picture!
