Seriously... I re-read these books over and over. Once you fall in love with them, you are hooked for life. People become seriously obsessed with them! For fast romance reads (I loved the 4 Seasons by Kleypas, Autumn esp!) I like Julia Quinn's Bridgerton novels. Fun and well written!pollihttp://apronstring.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28854422.post-35635786223753772402010-01-18T03:23:32.000-08:002010-01-18T03:23:32.000-08:00Have you ever read anything by Joshilyn Jackson? ...Have you ever read anything by Joshilyn Jackson? (The only thing I can't stand are the cover photos. I'll read romances...but I just don't want everyone else to know that I read them. Couldn't they put a normal cover on them?!)Do you ever read the JD Robb In Death books? It's really Nora Roberts writing under another name, but they're crime novels set in the future (I know, it sounds weird. Trust me on this though- FABULOUS!) Plus there's a million of them, so you can really get involved with the characters. PS- Can I join your book club, or do I have to actually, you know, physically know you? Maybe you could just pass along the titles of what you're reading. I'm always looking for new authors.Quirkyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16296081083875863913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28854422.post-11453324835246910142010-01-11T17:22:01.000-08:002010-01-11T17:22:01.000-08:00Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay.Emotion. I know, she's sci-fi/fantasy but this series is part of the Luna romance line. The first is called "The Fairy Godmother". It's basically how fairy godmothers are made. Here's my two cents: Pick something you haven't read, but something you have wanted to try...i.e. A new author, a new title, something that was recommended, whatever. I have read all of SEP's books (that I know of) and loved them, and IMO Nora Roberts is the queen. I think my fave is High Noon but I could debate that all afternoon because I adore a couple of her trilogies, too.So, anyway... I'm a fiction girl. I'm a lightweight fiction girl. But my recommendation for your book club is...Loving Frank by Nancy HoranIt's a fictionalized true story about Frank Lloyd Wright's relationship with a woman named Mamah Cheney. It is SO good. I listened to it in the car on the way to Thanksgiving at my parents and I had to sit at the side of the road for about half an hour so I could finish it before I got there. It's not my type of book but I enjoyed listening to it so much that I am going to buy a copy of the book for my very own. To keep. To read again every year or two.
